The Cut 03:16
there wasn't much of a sound the core collapsed and no strength found stevie said I looked bad and I did then doc said the same I guess I did started as a pin prick stomach stitch, body horror at the scene of the first crime were three cuts three cuts were shut, two stayed shut one was fucked a faucet reminder of how they cut me up that's how they cut me up there wasn't much of a fight a passage closed, a blocked right side doc said "I don't know how you're breathing." I said "same" a symptom of my given name started counting backwards from ten squinting at the overheads and the sound of paper on the bed last thing I noticed was the shutting shut and the blast of gas before they made the cut and I remember waking up that's how they cut me up I remember waking up you can't lift what you want the core collapses when you want a few pills if you want to profit or soothe where they cut me up the core collapses when I try to stand up so profit or soothe like I've had enough the core collapses where they cut me up that's how they cut me up

Squeegee 02:14
Pillars of light in a damp sky Pillars of salt in the rearview Pills that were bitter at first bite Now just taste to adjust to I got soaked in the slipstream Electric projectors projecting Squeegeeing ink across silkscreens Making our marks on the next thing Ten thousand cars in the driveway Rooms full of rooms that we lived in Mornings we greeted with migraine Houses we left with eviction I got soaked in lake erie Spit off the bridge into schuylkill i’m like a mile from new jersey At the mouth of the transplant tribunal I’m sorry that i can’t be there in person I’m working off a digital debt Chipping away but i can’t see the shape of it yet I can’t see the shape of it
3.
Fever Museum 02:13
Fever museum set to expire Collected a crowd hidden in wires With eyes shut I can see em all Fever museum collects, acquires A lesson in “don't reach for the radio dial” Cause sometimes I can hear em all But not at the same time Fever museum Sits to admire A feast made waiting for spirit desire But sometimes the taste don't taste at all At least not at the same time When everything everywhere all at once Comes crashing at the same time It’s an infinite weight on a permanent display In the gallery any given day And when i close my eyes or i try to look away I can see it all
4.
Veil 02:13
In the waking up for work to Chase the sun into the gloom You’re a contact point holding charges That can bifurcate a room Doesn’t it feel like a veil’s been Lifted from you And the light’s still flickering on The light’s still flickering on In the dusk i’m looking at you Like a child or a dog Am i wearing out my welcome mat? I don’t wanna stay too long Doesn’t it feel like a veil’s been Lifted from you And the light’s still flickering Steady your course In a tailspin Wanna stop time But it just keeps barreling on It just keeps barreling In our not-so-rapid transit It’s a gift to move so slow Wanna build a home to shape it But there’s no right way to grow

Cantrip divider Making space where there’s not Out of nothing A vessel for these parts “Greater than sum” So i thought Some friends got quiet But they never lost the spark Mostly work day jobs Slinging takes in the dark The incantation year Collecting sparks in jar How romantic a creation can be When it’s made in the dark So walls perspire Collecting breaths And some thoughts Once reserved for anywhere but here Now preserved in a jar All we have is everything we need For the incantation year

line could be cleaner but it's there, imperfect seeing the flaws sometimes can be what makes it worth it catching my breath as we walk back from the lake tracing the through-lines to account for all components endlessly optimizing every waking moment but I got ensconced in all the shimmer and the shine faking nostalgia for a memory that's not mine it was printed not handwritten line could be cleaner but it's there

A Good Lie 01:56
A lie that was told on the back page Conspicuous and plain And language fails but i’m okay The rest still reads the same A good lie And a set piece placed inside Of a good lie That i’m showing subscribed A line was drawn in a past race With forty set as pace A balancing act that I maintain In spite of staying sane A good lie And a set piece placed inside Of a good lie That I’m showing subscribed
8.
Second Seam 03:23
I was halfway underwater I was halfway floating over I was always one foot Searching for what other wasnt And in case of fire break The cut might sting but i’m digging the scar And in place of skin A space to begin again Collect an account Written in tongues Replacing language known With a soothing sequence sown so the fever dreams of me A piece of “could it be” One cleared, a scene serene And fever wakes to find none
